Con Tablas y a lo Loco

Starting is always tricky. This is the first project that I recommend on my website. And it is not a coincidence that I have chosen Con Tablas y a lo Loco . Everything has a reason.

La idea de mi web empieza al mismo tiempo que la idea del proyecto de Con Tablas y a lo Loco de Nica Alva. Febrero del 2020. Justo cuando «lo dejo todo» para venir a Australia. Algunos compañeros de trabajo me recomendaron que me abriera un blog, que explicara mis aventuras por aquí, que hiciera un blog de viajes. Ya veis que no les hice caso. Porque esa no era mi idea.

Nica, who also worked with me in that company, was one of the few who listened to my idea and also took the opportunity to share hers with me. Next to the typical office coffee machine we talked about this website and about @contablasyaloloco. And we gave each other strength, because starting is always tricky.

Like me with my website, she already had her project idea for a long time. We just needed to believe in it, spend time and learn more before launching our projects.

Con Tablas y a lo Loco is an Instagram account and blog where you can find ideas and recipes that help you transform any aperitif or dinner with friends into a moment to enjoy it much more. The basis is to put all the ingredients on a wooden board normally. Putting it in style to make it look pretty and to impress your guests or family. The good thing is that even I could do it because it explains it in such an understandable way that it is easy to prepare. The best thing is that you see all her tables on her Instagram or on her website.

But I am not a food critic. I do not recommend Con Tablas y a lo Loco just because the recipes are good or the tables are well decorated (although I think so).

If I recommend this project, it is because of the attitude of the person behind it. Because it was born from her passion. Because she always wants to be up to date with everything that surrounds her. Because she wants to continually improve. Because when she started, she knew practically nothing about photography and thus took courses. Because she also did not know how to do reels on Instagram and took time to learn it. Because Nica was one of the first people to jump into the Clubhouse community in Spain and within weeks, she easily became a well-known host of several rooms.

Because she has clear that projects evolve, that they do not have to be perfect from the beginning. Because she is creative (not just by making the tables), and that lets her come up with new ideas that allow her to take the next step to grow her idea. Because if you follow her on Instagram, she will send you a personalized message to say thank you and introducing herself.

So far all of these reasons. Although there would be much more to tell, I prefer that you discover it.

The fact that I have been able to recommend it in such detail is because I am fortunate to collaborate with Nica on this project. From that day next to the coffee machine until today. Even if I have to do it from Australia. Although we would rather meet talking next to a coffee machine. Well, next to a coffee machine, no. Better next to one of these tables that she prepares.
